Dr. Etheredge graduated Cum Laude from The University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology before earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Throughout her career, she has prioritized advanced education, obtaining post-graduate certifications in dry needling, kinesiology taping, and vestibular rehabilitation, as well as becoming a certified clinical instructor. She has also pursued extensive specialized training in manual therapy, myofascial release, pain neuroscience education, and the management of concussion and temporomandibular disorders (TMD).
In 2013, Dr. Etheredge joined the Concussion Care Centre of Virginia, where she served as the primary physical therapist, focusing on the orthopedic needs of the underserved neurological community. During her tenure there, she developed a specialized interest in treating headaches and neck pain and co-authored several publications on the topic of post-traumatic headache.
In 2026, following the semi-retirement of Dr. Zasler, founder of Concussion Care Centre of Virginia, Dr. Etheredge established Virginia Concussion and Pain Physical Therapy. Through this new practice, she continues her dedicated work in providing high-quality, specialized care for patients navigating concussion recovery and chronic pain.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Etheredge is deeply committed to the future of the profession. She finds great fulfillment in mentoring both physical therapy and undergraduate students, a dedication recognized in 2019 when she was awarded the Carlton Jones Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award.
