Racheal Smetana, PsyD, ABPP

Dr. Racheal Smetana is an Assistant Professor and Board-Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist at University of Virginia Health. She cares for adolescents and adults who have sustained concussions from sport and other mechanisms, as well as adults with other medical and neurological disorders. Her research is focused on developing high-quality concussion assessments for para athletes. She has published and presented widely on her research and clinical care considerations for concussion. Dr. Smetana is an active member of the Concussion in Para Sport Group and Sports Neuropsychology Society. She understands the important role that sports play across the lifespan, and is an avid marathon runner and scuba diver.
