Call for study participants: help researchers understand why concussion symptoms persist for some people

Weill Cornell medicine poster call for study participants

Following a concussion or mild traumatic brain injury (TBI), some people experience symptoms that persist while others recover. The Brain Health Imaging Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine is conducting a research study to better understand these differences in recovery.

Specifically, researchers are examining the brain's protective blood-brain barrier and the immune system to understand why symptoms may persist for some people.

Participation includes an MRI scan, blood draw, cognitive testing/interviews, and questionnaires. Participants can receive up to $250 in compensation, and transportation can be provided if needed.

If you are interested in learning more, please contact the study's Research Coordinator, Jessica Peters, at jep4007@med.cornell.edu or (646) 962-9037.
