Allison Grossberg

My name is Allison Grossberg. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Cellular and Molecular Biology program at the University of Denver’s Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging.

My research is focused on the systemic effects of traumatic brain injury, the interaction between brain injury and infection, and the relationship between traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative disease. I am passionate about using my scientific training to help uncover new knowledge that may one day lead to new diagnostic tools and/or treatments for brain injury, infection, and neurodegenerative disease and that has a real impact on the daily lives of patients, physicians, and other scientists.

When I am not reading, writing, or working in the lab, I enjoy baking, hiking with my sweet dog, Ruth, and taking long naps.
